Gender Reveal Party

We decided to have a "What will our Lil' Honey Bee? Party" Also known as a Gender Reveal Party to announce the gender of baby #2. Both of our families were able to share the joy as we were excited to announce ..."It's a ..........?" Preston cannot believe that I was able to keep it a secret for so long.

I decorated everything in black and yellow (besides the pink & blue reveal balloons).

The sweets table. I also had cookies done with baby bumble bee's on them. They were Delicious. Can you believe I forgot to take a picture of all the food! Ugh I'm so mad at myself. We had enough to feed an army...for a week. The boys smoked Ribs too...nope..no pictures ; (

Cake #1. Whoops, I accidentally messed up the left side when I was getting it out of the box!

Cake #2 I always get an extra cake! You cannot run out of cake at a party.

Fresh Lemonade..Yum...

...and Real sunflowers to replace the daisies that had been in the vases.

O.M.G! I love this picture. I just wish there wasn't a shadow over the right side. I told Parker to say cheese and he actually did..with the cutest smile I have ever seen.

The Balloon Release...It's A.....

We decided to do something different to reveal the gender of Baby #2. Since the most common way to surprise guests is by revealing the gender inside the cake (pink or blue), we decided we wanted to do something else. We had all of our guests come outside to watch us reveal the gender by balloon. Whatever color we were left holding would reveal the gender. We each started with a blue and pink balloon (4 balloons total). I went first and released the Pink balloon. So I had one blue balloon left and Preston still had a pink and a blue balloon. Then Preston went next. He let go of his blue balloon.....

At that point, I had a blue balloon and Preston had the Pink one....

...Ooohh the suspense. We stalled for a little while as our guests waited in anticipation....

....Then...I released the Blue Balloon...which means the only balloon left was...PINK!!!

....Here are the three balloons released in the (cloudy& rainy!) Sky. Yes, the weather dampened our plans slightly. But it still was really fun and super exciting to finally reveal the gender to our families.

Parker wanted in on all the fun too.

Woohoo....mommy's got a shopping buddy!!!

Parker was so excited (haha) He celebrated by having a piece of cake after the reveal.

ITS A GIRL!!

Suprise...

A few weeks ago, Preston & Parker sent me these Beautiful flowers at work Just Because. I was so surprised. They are one of my favorites Ive ever gotten (But I always say that!) I thought it was a really unique arrangement. I love the fact that he never sends me roses! I Hate them!

Kalahari Water Park

This summer, by brother invited our family and my sister's family to Kalahari Water Park. We had a lot of fun and Parker was exceptional.

Daddy's Boy

The whole gang, minus by brother in law who wasn't able to come.

My Sister with her kids, David and Lauren. They had a blast!!

Surfs Up Preston!

Slushy

He spotted the "Slushy" drink

Taking a sip from the big boy cup

Believe it or not, he is sleeping in the water. By the end of the day, Parker was so tired. However, He refused to go to sleep. For the most part he will not sleep anywhere but his crib. My lil man was so exhausted that when my sister held him in the water he fell asleep.

So sleepy. So Precious. My Love.
