Happy Fall Y'all

I Love the fall...The leaves changing, the cool air..and Fun Fall activities. My sister and I took the kids( Genie & Iron Man) to an afternoon trick or treat/Fall festival over the weekend. Not too much for my little guy to do, but he had fun looking at all the big kids in their costumes.

Dr Seuss 1st Birthday Party

Our Little Man turned ONE Year old on Sunday October 17th, 2010. We threw Parker a Dr Seuss Birthday Party and had so much fun planning it.

We cant believe a year has come and gone so quickly. Its been a wonderful year. The first year was so incredibly easy. Probably for two reasons, The first is that Parker is the most magnificent, easy going, sweet baby boy. The second, we had a lot of help from my mom! We truly could never imagine life any other way. We are very lucky to have Parker as our son.

Dr Seuss Party Decor

The Cat In The Cat Cutout was so cute! He was the theme of the party.Preston and I also made drawings of Seuss inspired characters and hung then throughout the house.

I wanted to make Parker a special Happy Birthday sign for his Party

Table Center Piece. I made the wreath with Dr Seuss-like colored ribbon.

Dr Seuss Green eggs and ham

No Dr Seuss Party would be complete without Green Eggs and Ham~

"Before" the cake

Here comes your cake baby boy...

He was very curious at first

Parker with his mommy and daddy celebrating his 1st year.

I took this picture of some of our guests watching Parker eat his cake. The facial expressions are pretty funny..especially my brother in laws!

I Wonder if Preston is thinking what I am thinking..

"I wonder if Preston is thinking what I'm thinking?" I tried to sneak a bit of frosting on my finger to get Preston's face dirty...however if you look at this picture, we were both thinking the same thing (hence the frosting on BOTH of our fingers) Great minds think alike....but then..

....I went for it, but he was to quick to get out of the way....

...or was he?

Smash it

ahhh...there he goes "Smack" to the face

This looks pitiful but he loved it! And yes we let him keep going....

By the time he was done, he managed to get some frosting in his eyes, nose, hair, shirt, pants..everything.

...Then he needed stripped down and a quick bath in the sink after destroying his cake. That's Parker, with the shirt around his head!

...the aftermath of the smash cake
